Sound judgment, excellent communication skills and the ability to drive decisions through consensus and influence change are a must.What You’ll Do:The Connected Vehicle Data Analyst will be responsible for advancing development of the connected vehicle data tools and methodology related to vehicle safety and compliance. The selected candidate will work with/lead cross-functional teams (e.g., Proactive Sensing Screening, ICT Business Analytics, Product Investigations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service) to determine data analysis techniques that identify potential product issues during preliminary technical reviews (screening) of connected vehicle data. The Analyst will also be responsible for validating and reviewing connected vehicle data for potential product issues related to vehicle safety and compliance. Ability to describe complex theory at various levels is required as the candidate will be responsible for communicating methods developed and findings to leadership, connected vehicle teams, and ICT teams through presentations and process documentation.Basic Qualifications:•A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university, other Engineering degrees with relevant equivalent experience may be considered•Ability to compile data using multiple sources and formulate conclusions/recommendations, all in a time sensitive manner•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Comfort conducting and communicating deep dives in data analysis•Ability to team with Safety Office, Quality, and ICT stakeholders on a regular basis•Ability to navigate and interpret advanced analytic outputs and visualization•Experience in signal analysis utilizing various software packages and techniques•Experience working in one or more of the following: Python, SQL, HTML, or JavaScriptPreferred Qualifications:•Knowledge of FMVSS/CMVSS regulations•Technical background in Powertrain Emissions, Chassis, Active Chassis, Restraints, or Electrical Electrical Architecture•Background knowledge in connected vehicle data•Background in Root Cause techniques (Shainin and/or DFSS background)Our benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
