The Business Analyst role is responsible to partner with the business functions to develop a robust and repeatable analytical solution to address opportunities or risk points in the way FCA manages decision making and understanding cause and effect of performance. We manage this via problem statements and resulting use-cases. This includes requirements gathering, developing a rich understanding of required data, facilitating the design of the deliverable, partnering with the Data Scientist and Data Engineering team members for the development of the solution, testing and implementation and support with the users, as well as overall project coordination. Project success is measured by the deliverable having a measurable, profound impact on the problem at hand and the success of the functions relying on deliverables being provided. This role is also responsible for compiling Executive Management ad hoc reports. As the owner of multiple reporting tools, you will present project status updates directly to C-Suite management and take their feedback into the development cycle. This job provides exposure to an immense number of members of the sales, brand, finance and supply chain functions. You work to ensure knowledge transfer and foster change management with the functional groups that the model or solution was built for. The Business Analyst will need to develop a robust knowledge of the problem and the solution to have creditability in the knowledge transfer process to ensure a successful implementation and fostering change management.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Operations Research)
5+ years of related experience
Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills and the ability to evaluate processes and data objectively
Strong problem formulation, problem-solving & analysis skills
Success in implementing projects and driving change management
Ability to collaborate with external data partners, agencies, and vendors to assist with data collection,taxonomy, reporting
Experience in a brand management, production sales or media-focused environment is desired
3+ years of OEM sales/aftersales experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Google Docs
Familiarity with QlikView and COGNOS
