As a member of the FCA Automated Driving Software team, you will be responsible for the design, development, simulation, testing, integration, and deployment of the latest cutting edge technologies across platforms to consumer markets worldwide.As a result of FCA’s focus to bring high quality products with an exceptional user experience to its customers, it is expanding its Advanced Development Engineering organization in the area responsible for the developing the Automated Driving /Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) of the future. Selected candidates will be immersed in a hands-on role, working with state of the art technologies, in a field exhibiting rapid year over year growth. As part of this team, candidates will work side by side with specialists and subject matter experts creating an environment fostering continued skill set growth and knowledge sharing.The Automated Driving System Validation team is currently seeking individuals to fill the role of a Simulation and Modeling Engineer. In the position the Engineer will be responsible for developing and confirming the accuracy of models and simulations that will be used in executing software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop based validation plans in a virtual environment that in combination with physical testing is necessary to successfully launch ADAS features to production.Job responsibilities include but not limited to:•Design, implementation, and testing to ensure the accuracy of models of ECU controller communication interfaces, vehicle systemslants, and ADAS sensors•Design, implementation, and testing to ensure the accuracy of simulations that utilize models•Integration of models and simulations in software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test properties•Design, implement, verify, and maintain testing systems including the generation of testing tools, methods and properties such as outfitting vehicles with ADAS systems•Execute tests using physical resources•Analyze data and test results, apply statistical models and validation methods and report findings and results to the cross-functional team and senior management•Review and help develop test procedures for various ADAS and Automated Driving features and applications•Troubleshoot issues and assist other VV engineers during the use of the equipment and the data collected up to and including re-simulation of in-vehicle logged data•Effectively communicate with cross-functional development engineers•Effectively utilize various forms of data acquisition and manipulation equipment•Analyze, identify, and implement system upgrades and improvements as they become necessary for validation and reliability activities•Lead and participate in collaborate discussions with global organizations to ensure standardization of tools, methodologies, and resourcesCome join the automated driving revolution, make a difference, and apply today!Basic Qualifications:•Bachelor of Science in Physics, Computer Science, or Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering or equivalent•6 months of direct working experience in automated driving system validation simulation and modeling•Ability to program in C, C++, and MATLAB/Simulink. Familiarity with dSPACE simulation toolsPreferred Qualifications:•Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university•3 years of direct working experience in automated driving system validati
