The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Advanced Development Automated Driving team is actively searching for talent to fill open positions for individuals specializing in Automated Driving Path Planning. The selected candidate will be immersed in a hands-on role, working with state of the art technologies, in a field experiencing rapid year over year growth. This team and the selected candidates are responsible for developing the architecture, associated system level requirements and design to enable Highly Automated Driving functions at a level ready to be utilized as an “off the shelf” deployment into production vehicle platforms.Basic Qualifications:•Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience•Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field•Working level knowledge of Environment Modeling and/or Path Planning for Highly Automated Driving inclusive of one or more of the following:•Occupancy Grid Mapping•Road Level Information•Probabilistic Robotics•Particle Filtering and Monte Carlo Localization•Graph Theory•Odometry•Ability to author clean C++ embedded object-oriented source code•Professional or academic experience developing Robot Operating System (ROS) applications•Strong interpersonal communication, team/leadership skills/experiencePreferred Qualifications:•Master of Science or Doctorate degree from an ABET accredited university•Working level knowledge of visual odometry and egomotion•An understanding of the AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform Reference Implementation•Embedded Systems Experience•Familiarity with Automotive Time-Synchronized Ethernet•Experience working in an Agile software development process•DFSS certification — or participation in several projects start through completion•Experience with modern vehicle communication architectures•Experience in generating Algorithm Description Documentation•Familiarity with system level re-simulation (i.e. HIL or SIL)•Machine Learning Knowledge•General working knowledge and previous exposure to ISO-26262, SOTIF, and Cybersecurity•Critical Character Traits to Ensure Success:•Ability to think outside-the-box in high pressure situations•Ability to multi-task•Detail oriented problem-solverOur benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
