We have exciting opportunities for exceptional candidates to work directly on automated driving features on some of the most successful vehicle brands in the industry for FCA’s ambitious rollout plan. As a member of FCA’s Automated Driving Software team, you will be supporting the design, development, simulation, testing, integration, and deployment of the latest cutting edge technologies across platforms to consumer markets worldwide.
This position will function as a member of the Automated Driving Software team
The candidate’s core responsibilities are to support the design, build, test, deployment and operation of multiple software and technology stacks for autonomous driving software
The ideal candidate will have experience with the use of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) technologies to enable configuration and automation of software build and deployment tools, integration of health checks on pipelines, and understanding of single point failures and notifications
The DevOps engineer will work with other development staff and software engineers to tackle the coding and scripting needed to connect elements of code, such as libraries or software development kits (SDKs), and to integrate other components
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related Engineering field
Minimum of 1 year of DevOps experience in an Agile/Scrum software development environment with active participation in Scrum ceremonies
Extensive experience with script automation and continuous Integration; Ability to architect CI/CD pipelines to support development release cadences
Experience with key technologies such as Docker containers, Debian packages, CI/CD Tools, Ansible, Artifactory, C Make/Bazel, and Git.
Expertise in Linux OS; Proficient with Windows
Good communication skills; Ability to interface with internal organizations as well as Tier I and Tier II automotive suppliers and partners
Travel including international up to 10%
Master of Science degree from an ABET accredited university
Experience creating and administering CI/CD pipelines to support Embedded Software Development projects
Experience with industry cryptographic protocols, key handling, chain of trust processing, and anti-spoofing techniques
Understanding of ADAS software fundamentals
Experience with authoring ASIL compliant software code and use of both static and dynamic functional safety code analysis tools.
Familiarity with ALM tools and configuration is a plus
Proficiently understand networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Firewalls)
Some experience developing software in C/C++, Python, bash
