Senior User Experience (UX) DesignerWhat will I be doing?As a Senior UX Designer at ProQuest, you will interface directly with the product team to help develop new product ideas and enhancements to existing products. As a part of the UX Team, you will work together to brainstorm, prove designs and problem solve Human Computer Interactions. You will partner with the product and development teams to create the optimum solution for researchers and students in the market.
Working with this team, you will be aligned to the Dissertations Product Team at one of the most exciting times in this products lifecycle. This product group is reimagining this important, popular, customer-facing research tool. So if you’re a passionate and positive UX professional, keep reading!!In this position, you will also…• Enhance and consistently deliver successful outcomes with limited supervision or oversight.• Own the vision for the product design.• Support and promote both visual and UX design.• Collaborate with the product team to develop a wide variety of UX artifacts including Journey and Story Maps, wireframes, sitemaps and prototypes.• Apply user-centered design methodology to develop an understanding of and serve as the advocate for the end user.• Partner with business leads to understand desired business outcomes and validate the value and usability of concepts• Perform usability analysis on designs to ensure ease-of-use for target user populations.• Contribute to knowledge and skills of UX team by developing expertise in one or more UX disciplines (accessibility, user research, analytics) and assumes responsibility for modeling and teaching best practices.

Qualified Candidates must have…• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/professional work experience in one of the following areas or a related field: Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Visual Communications.• 5 or more years of industry experience in interface design, web design, information architecture, user research or similar field.• Strong experience applying user centered design, user analysis techniques, and web and mobile/responsive usability best practices.• Fluent with design and diagramming tools such as Axure, Sketch, Figma, or other design software.• Experience with development processes, including ability to integrate user centered design practices with an agile development approach.
Superstar Candidates will ALSO have…• Advanced degree in HCI or similar field.• Ability to create high and low-fidelity prototypes to support rapid design iteration and user testing.• Knowledge of accessibility standards and ability to apply best practices in design.• Ability to understand and apply analytics and usage data as part of user research.
